The next class in the Creative Bug Bag of the Month series is out. Sew a ‘Feed Sack’ bag for July.
Elke Bergeron shows you how to design and sew a versatile vintage-style tote, which can be worn off the shoulder or as a cross body bag. You will learn how to work with feedsack fabric, add a touch of canvas ticking for reinforcement, sew together a linen lining, and create leather straps. Add brass rivets and clips, and you will have your very own sturdy, handmade bag.
You can always create, print or buy a vintage looking fabric too. Doesn’t have to be a real sack!
As new classes are released we think that they’ll all be added to this summary page featuring all of the bag of the month projects so far. Go and check them out and sign up for a free 14-day trial. Check out these bag sewing patterns and classes, as well as all the other bag sewing classes they already have in their library.
For versatility, you can't beat a crossbody bag. Easy to wear, fun to sew, and a wardrobe essential. Everyone needs a few of these in their sewing pattern collection. Check out a few recent crossbody bag patterns to sew from our store.
