This is the Miranda Tote Bag pdf sewing pattern from the designer Made By Syaza.
The Miranda makes a great everyday purse. It’s just the right size, has all the right features and pockets, yet is fairly light on hardware so won’t break the bank to sew. Use your favorite cotton prints for a splash of color, then accent with cork or vinyl for straps, the hardwearing base and the feature binding around the top.
A recessed zipper closure on top keeps everything safe inside, where you’ll find options for a lining slip pocket and a zipper pocket. The removable shoulder strap is optional.

The two sizes of Miranda Tote Bag measure approximately:-
- Small = 8” long by 3” wide by 7” high.
- Large = 12″ long by 3″ wide by 10″ high.
What’s needed to make a Miranda Tote Bag:-
- One FQ of exterior fabric,
- One FQ of interior fabric,
- One FQ of medium weight fusible interfacing,
- Half a yard of vinyl/natural cork,
- One 9” (small) or 14″ (large) long zipper,
- Two 5/8” swivel clasp, (optional)
- One 5/8” square adjuster, (optional)
- Six 6mm by 6mm rivet,
- Two D-rings, (optional)
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
This is a measure and cut pattern where no templates are needed to make the two sizes of tote. PDF pattern instructions are included.
