Mandy Bag Purse FREE sewing pattern
If you would like to make yourself a lovely purse where the pattern and tutorial are free then here is the Mandy Bag. It’s a real cutie, and the finished look and the way the bag is constructed are really very interesting.
The designer makes a specific point that you should read all the way to the bottom of the tutorial BEFORE you start as the construction of this bag is a little bit different from the normal.
The way it’s sewn, and the internal pocket created for the phone is different from how you may have constructed a bag before, so it’s very worthwhile to sew up this bag and learn some new techniques and construction methods. All in a free pattern and tutorial!
What you will need to make the Mandy Bag:-
- One fat quarter for the bag outer.
- One 50cm cut of 110cm lining fabric. The designer used homespun.
- Iron-on Pellon.
- Add a snap to the bag flap and body, or if you prefer you can sew a buttonhole to the flap and sew a button to the bag.
- Basic sewing supplies.
- A sewing machine.
