Mara is a Japanese-style reversible knot bag with a gusset (boxed bottom). This project comes in three sizes – small, medium, and large – it’s a quick sew and is perfect for beginner-level sewers!

The bag is a little bit ‘more’ than some of the simple patterns because it is made with three internal compartments which makes it ideal for putting the essentials for a relaxing walk outside – your mobile phone, keys, AirPods, lipstick, cards, or change.
Unlike any other tutorials available on the market, this tutorial uses a unique method that creates a clean and neat finish with no visible stitches on the outside or inside of the bag. No topstitching is required unless it is desired for a decorative purpose.
This project would also make the perfect gift to friends and family etc.
Shown below are the finished measurements of each of the three sizes of the bag in metric and imperial measurements, together with the amount of main and lining fabric that is needed.
The pattern includes clear, step-by-step sewing instructions with HD photos with three full-size sewing patterns and including a seam allowance. There is no need to enlarge the patterns, and you can print them on A4 paper.
