Half Moon Coin Purse sewing pattern
Here is an excellent sewing pattern to make yourself a cute coin purse that keeps your cash safe with both a zipper and a flap with snap closure. There is room for coins, notes and a bank card.
This scrap-buster is a fun project to sew when you only have a little of your favorite fabric print left. You will only need a half fat quarter of fabric in total.
A lot is packed into a small package with this great coin purse pattern. It’s small enough to carry in your pocket yet has enough space for coins, notes and a bank card or two.
You can attach the Half Moon Coin Purse to your bag or keyring when you quickly run out to the shops or the school run, or use it in your evening bag when you don’t need to carry a full wallet.
The Half Moon Coin Purse has two compartments – the main zipper section with room for coins and a front open pocket for notes or a bank card. For extra security, the flap closes with a snap to make sure nothing falls out. And if you want to make something a little larger then the pattern is easy to scale if you want a different size.
When you have finished making the Half Moon Coin Purse it will measure approximately 4.25″ wide by 4″ tall 3/8″ deep.
What you will need to make the Half Moon Coin Purse:-
- 1/2 fat quarter in total of midweight cotton fabric,
- One 8″ by 9″ piece of fusible fleece,
- One 7-inch zipper,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
