This handy Wide Open Zipper Pouch is a free sewing pattern and comes with a full step by step sewalong video too.
This versatile pouch can be packed and repacked with your necessities.
It can be used as a clutch or sometimes as a cosmetic pouch. This bag has a wide zip closure for easy access to the inside, and a flat case so it stands up nicely on its own. The little handle is a nice addition. Make your own pouch bag with your favorite fabric.
Sizing info:
When you have finished making your very own DIY Open Wide Pouch it will measure approximately 8¾″(22 cm) wide by 6″ (15 cm) high by 3″ (7.5 cm) deep.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified. All of the dimensions for the pieces you need to cut are shown in the video.
What is needed to make a DIY Open Wide Pouch:
- An outer layer of quilting cotton,
- Lining (quilting cotton),
- One 8″ (20 cm) zipper,
- Fusible fleece (Similar to Pellon 987F ‘ or ‘Vilene H630’),
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
