Wellington Wristlet sewing pattern (+ video)
|This is a slightly larger version of the Wellington Wallet that adds a zippered coin pocket and wristlet strap. If you are familiar with the For Your Cheddar Wallet, construction of this will be a breeze. Mix and match fabrics to make a truly unique gift.
The Wellington Wristlet pattern was designed to be a quick make for anyone that is getting into bagmaking for the first time would be able to do. It does not require a lot of materials or hardware and could also be a great scrap buster. It uses a unique construction method that I introduced with the For Your Cheddar Wallet pattern earlier this year. One of the modifications that was popular on my other projects, was the addition of snaps to secure the flap. The Wellington Wristlet was written with this in mind.
This one small bag boasts a zippered coin pocket, but in a more petite package with 4 card slots and a slip pocket for your bills. Clip a wristlet strap to the zipper pull and you are ready to take this one a quick trip to the store or gym. Don’t need a zipper pocket for change? Then try the even slimmer Wellington Wallet pattern. That one isn’t as wide and it swaps the zipper pocket for another slip pocket. Small enough to fit in your back (or front) pocket of your jeans!
