Scrappy Snappy Pouch FREE sewing tutorial

This is the Scrappy Snappy Pouch FREE sewing tutorial from the designer Leslie’s Art and Sew.

After posting the tutorial for scrappy patchwork (how to make beautiful new fabric from your scraps and tiny pieces), the designer’s friend tested it out and had some questions. Since another reader asked for a pattern for the original snap pouch, the designer decided to present us all with another tutorial, with a more detailed explanation of the scrappy patchwork technique used, and directions for the pouch (this time in pink).

With this sewing project you will need to make a template for your pouch using the directions given.

The designer used a sturdy plastic template with handy grid lines that was semi-transparent. You can lay it over your fabric to check your pattern placement for fussy cutting perfectly. Cheap plastic chopping boards are a great way to make permanent pattern templates to use over and over again. However, if you want to use cardboard or paper, that will work too.

Liking this free pattern? Great! You would make our day if you ‘bought us a coffee’ to help with the site running costs. Thank you.
