Perfectly Popping Pouches – 5 options each in 3 sizes – with video tutorial
This is a pdf sewing pattern for the Perfectly Popping Pouches that has fifteen options of zip pouches and baskets. The recessed zip Pouches and Baskets come in three sizes and have various base options. This is no ordinary pouch pattern – this is a five-in-one super-popping-pouch tutorial in three sizes meaning you get a total of fifteen options. There’s a recessed zip pouch version → a flat bottom standing pouch version → a wide zipped basket pouch version → a fabric basket version → and a basket with grab handles version.
Yes! This tutorial shows you how to take just one set of pattern pieces and use them to achieve five different styles:
1.❤ Recessed zip pouch a super-easy recessed zip method, no visible seams on top and bottom inside or outside turned through a profile stitched pocket. A lining that is fixed to the bottom of the bag, that fits perfectly and doesn’t pull out.
2.❤ Flat bottom standing pouch – Add a miracle method flat bottom, so the pouch stands on its own without the need to box any corners, The pouch folds flat for easy storage and then pops-up to stand on a flat base.
3.❤ Wide zipped basket pouch – Turn the pouch into a zipped flat bottom basket by increasing the size of the flat bottom with an accessible wide-mouth opening.
4.❤ Fabric basket – Next, we’ll take the zip away completely to make faced reversible storage baskets.
5.❤ Basket with handles – And finally, add handles to the basket during construction to make a super cute open top carry-basket.
Three sizes in each, each with five ways to make – that’s fifteen options, and the designer gives you the tools to create your own sizes as well.
