The Ombak (waves) Shoulder Bag is an awesome purse design with two options – pleated and plain front. Personally we LOVE that pleated design, but if you have a great feature fabric you want to use, the un-pleated front would look awesome too – sewers choice.

Ombak (Malay for wave) is an attractive bag with unique features that will make heads turn! The main feature is the strong curve on the front of the bag which symbolize “a huge sea wave”. The pleated upper part creates a 3D effect of “sea breeze moving towards the land”. The concept is inspired by and a tribute to the designer’s seaside hometown.

You may also make a quick sew version of the Ombak (waves) Shoulder Bag by using a non-pleated front piece.

Here’s a quick video overview of the bag and it’s features so you can see if this project is perfect for you.
