This is the perfectly sized little kids bag. They can use it carry all their books, pencils, toys and snacks.
This is a relatively easy project that is suitable for a beginner sewer. And once you have made one for your little one why not make one or more as a gift as they make great gifts.
Sizing info:
When you have finished making your very own Mini Messenger Bag it will measure approximetly 7″ (18 cm) high by 10″ (25 cm) wide.
What’s needed to make a Mini Messenger Bag:–
- ½ a yard (45 cm) of fabric A (for the flap and lining),
- ½ a yard (45 cm) of fabric B (for the exterior and the flap binding),
- ½ a yard (45 cm) of medium-weight interfacing or stiffener (the designer used Shapewell),
- 30″ (75 cm) by 1¼” (3 cm) wide webbing for the strap,
- A Bias Tape Maker (optional). The designer used a Clover 18 mm (¾”) Bias Tape Maker,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
