Compass Crossbody Bag sewing pattern + video
|The Compass Crossbody was inspired by the fabric on the pattern cover. The designer wanted something with angles to complement the geometric print of the vinyl she purchased. This bag is what she envisioned.
The design is very versatile! You could make it all one fabric or mix it up and do every panel differently to make a fabulous, patched design! It’s completely up to you and your creativity.
The designer has included in the supply list what she used. There’s also a suggested cut list and interfacing suggestions if you choose other fabric options. You will also see some examples from her wonderful tester group to inspire you. She has also included two options for the exterior pockets that gives you some variety in their size. Other options include alternate straps and strap connectors. She says – go ahead, hack my bag!
This pattern is suitable for vinyl, cork, and regular fabrics.
This bag has a choice of sewing a small or a large pocket on the front of the bag (and as a mirror image on the reverse of the bag). You can upgrade these options for a third ‘SuperPocket’ option that spans the front of the bag and allows you to carry larger items. Find the SuperPocket Add-On here.
