Veris Crossbody Bag sewing pattern
This spacious, practical and stylish crossbody or shoulder bag is ideal for all occasions. It has a top zipper closure to keep all of your bits and pieces safely inside. The bag has two very practical exterior slip side pockets, which can be supplemented with zipper pockets (optional).
Inside there is a zipper pocket and a slip pocket. Of course you can mix and match the lining pockets to fit the bag out with your favorite style of interior pockets.
A key strap with a swivel hook is also a practical part of the bag’s interior. This is a great idea to snap on your keys, and then if (when) they fall to the bottom of the bag, a quick tug on the key strap and there they are! The crossbody strap is approx. 150 cm/59″ long and it is adjustable. The bag can also be worn as a shoulder bag.
Recommended materials:
Various types of fabrics are suitable to make this bag. Cotton, leatherette, cork, vinyl and all possible combinations of these materials can be used. This design makes the interesting prints of the fabric used on its middle part stand out – ideal for a favorite feature or large print fabric.

The finished size of the bag is:
– 24 cm / 9.4″ width at the opening,
– 35 cm / 13.8″ width in the middle,
– 30 cm / 11.8″ height,
– 12 cm / 4.7″ depth of the bottom.

- Exterior contrasting fabric – 30 cm width 140 cm (11,8″ width 55″),
- Lining fabric – 50 cm width 140 cm (19,7″ width 55″). Note: more fabric may be required if you using a directional print,
- A zipper size 3 mm (No 3) or 5 mm (No 5), length 35 cm/13,8″ (length of teeth/spiral) – closing of the bag,
- A zipper size 3 mm (No 3) or 5 mm (No 5), length 22 cm/8,7″ (length of teeth/spiral) – lining zipper
pocket, - If you choose the option with zippers on the side pockets: 2 x 3 mm (No 3) or 5 mm (No 5) zippers,
length 19 cm/7,5″ (length of teeth/spiral), - Mediumweight interfacing, iron-on, e.g. Ronofix, RONARFIX, fusible fleece, 100 g/m² or more –
70 cm width 80 cm (27,6″ width 31,5″), - Lightweight interfacing, iron-on e.g. Novoplast, Vlieseline, fusible woven interfacing, 30 to 60 g/m² –
30 cm width 90 cm (11,8″ width 35,4″), - A swivel hook 1 cm/0,4″,
- A rectangular ring or O-ring 2,5 cm/1″,
