The Snazzy Slouch Handbag has loads of excellent features. Here are some of them:

  • The main compartment is zippered so everything inside is secure
  • There is an internal zipper divider pocket
  • Plus 4 extra internal slip pockets so you can keep your bag super organized
  • There are 4 external slip pockets, deep enough so the contents are safe and perfect for your phone, keys and other bits & pieces you might need to grab in a hurry
  • An adjustable strap so you can make it the length that suits you.

What you will need to make the Snazzy Slouch Handbag

  • 90cm (1-yard) of 112cm (40”) wide fabric for the exterior. If using contrast fabric allow 45cm (½ yard)
  • 90cm – 110 cm (1-1¼ yards) of 112cm (40”) wide fabric for the lining (depending on whether you use exterior fabrics or lining fabric for your Interior Zipper Divider Pocket C)
  • 2m (2 ¼ yards) of fusible interfacing – Pellon/Legacy SF101
  • 60cm (24”) of fusible fleece – Thermolam Plus TP971F or Vilene 640H
  • Matching thread (The designer used Gutermann Polyester)
  • One-piece 11.5cm by 27.3cm (4½” by 10¾”) of Peltex or similar firm stabilizer for the base
  • One 51cm (20”) or longer handbag zipper (cut down to size during construction)
  • One 30cm (12”) dress zipper to match either the lining or exterior depending on which fabrics you chose for your Interior Zipper Divider Pocket C
  • 58.5cm (23″) of 12mm (½”) wide boning (optional)
  • One 3.8cm (1½”) rectangular metal slider for the strap
  • Two 3.8cm (1½”) rectangular rings
  • One zipper pull (optional.
  • Ten 8mm (5/16″) rivets (optional).
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • A sewing machine.
