The Pepper Tote Bag FREE sewing pattern
|This is the Pepper Tote Bag FREE pdf sewing pattern from the designer Clover and Violet.
The designer describes her sewing project as a fun, quick tote that has an exposed zipper, interior pockets, and sews up quick! The sides have a gentle angle instead of a regular square tote shape, which I think gives it a little more style!
She made two versions of the Pepper Tote Bag, one with six large hexagons and another with more smaller hexagons. The smaller hexagons add a different dimension to the bag. On the second version she used glue basting for the very first time, which she said worked very well!
This was also the first regular tote bag that the designer turned instead of bound. The only disappointment for her was that this took off some of the top height, and therefore made the shape a little more boxed than the original. But, it was a much speedier finish.
Skill level:
The designer rates her sewing project as suitable for advanced beginner sewers.
