The Felicity Bag Sewing Pattern
If you like shoulder bags then we have an absolute classic pattern here for you.
This shoulder bag is called – The Felicity Bag. The designer has introduced a center pocket into the bag, which is topped off by a purse frame, and that center pocket divides the bag into three sections.
The metal purse frame of the center pocket peeks out beautifully above the binding for a really unique and striking feature. To keep you organized the bag also has an interior zipper pocket and slip pocket.
We really love the detailed straps, the pretty hexagon decoration added on the outside and the cute ties at either end of the bag that allow it to be customized – cinch them uptight when you don’t have much to carry and open them wide when you need more space.
The center section of the bag with the snap closed purse frame is ideal to safely carry your wallet, phone, and keys, while the bigger outer sections can carry your journal and large items.

The designer rates this project as an intermediate skill level and when finished the Felicity Bag will be:
- 10 1/2″ tall
- 12″ wide
- 4″ deep
- 10″ strap drop
Please note that you will need to purchase a 10″ by 3″ purse frame to make Felicity and in addition the designer recommends you use foam interfacing By Annie Soft and Stable
