The Arena Bag (+ video) and the Arena Bag Raw Edge (+ video) sewing patterns
The Arena Bag was inspired by needing a bag small enough and versatile enough to hold your basic essentials plus your phone in a bag to meet the size requirements of some sporting / concert arenas and venues where restrictions are in place. It features an easily accessible front pocket for your phone, internal card pockets, and can be worn as a wristlet, lanyard, or crossbody bag. We think most of us can find this handy bag useful.
This pattern comes in two different versions, with each pattern allowing you to create the best results depending on your fabric. The regular Arena Bag is for fabrics like cotton, home decor etc. where raw edges need to be enclosed. The Raw Edge Arena Bag pattern is for fabrics that don’t fray such as vinyl, cork, leather etc. This has a different construction method. Pick the one you need (or maybe both of them) from the options below.

(2) The Arena Bag Raw Edge sewing pattern (+ video)
The Arena Bag Raw Edge was developed to be able to use thicker materials such as cork, vinyl, and leather. It provides an alternate assembly that is quicker and doesn’t require birthing. The raw edge pattern also allows the additional option of edge painting your bag, which gives it a nice finish.
This pattern contains all of the features you’ve come to know and love in the original Arena Bag, but in a more slimline profile.
