Sunny Days Waterproof Beach Bag FREE sewing pattern & tutorial
This bag has been specifically designed to take all your stuff to the pool or beach. The FREE pattern and tutorial makes it a real bonus bag.
The Sunny Days bag is 19″ wide by 16″ tall by 6″ deep when it is finished, so it can hold everything you could possibly need when you go to the pool or beach. The criss-cross pockets on the front of the bag allow you to organize those things that you need in a hurry.
The outer body and the outside of the pockets are sewn with PUL (polyurethane laminate) so everything inside the bag stays nice and dry. You can, of course, substitute quilting cotton fabrics for the PUL for a non-waterproof bag, if you’d prefer.
What you will need to make the Sunny Days Waterproof Bag:-
- 1 yard of PUL (polyurethane laminated fabric) for the main outer body,
- ½ yard each of two PUL prints for the pockets,
- 1 ¼ yards of quilting fabric cotton for the inner body,
- 5/8 yard each of two cotton fabrics for the pocket linings,
- ½ yard of cotton fabric for straps,
- 1 ½ yards of fusible fleece,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- Sewing machine.
