Simple card holder FREE sewing tutorial
|UPDATE – Sorry, this free tutorial from the designer, Teresa Lucio Designs, is no longer available.
This is a FREE tutorial for beginners to make a lovely simple card holder. The tutorial includes pattern pieces and the cardholder can be made with or without a Kam snap, regular press snap or velcro closure. Use it for popping out to the shops with just an ID and a couple of bank cards, or keep other cards separate from your main wallet such as store cards, rewards cards, public transport card, door swipe cards etc. Then there is no need to get out your main wallet when you need access to these everyday cards = added security.
Or impress people with your sewing skills when you pull out this smart little wallet and hand them a business card 🙂
Materials needed to make the card holder:-
- Two different cotton fabrics, one for the exterior fabric and one for the lining
- Medium woven fusible interfacing – Pellon SF101 – Vilene G700
- Fusible stabilizer – Pellon 987F – Vilene H630
- Erasable marking pen
- Ruler
- Fabric Glue ( optional)
- Sewing machine
