Quilted Notions Pouch sewing pattern
This is a cute sewing pattern to make two different sized Quilted Notion Pouches. The skilled designer describes them as a cute little zakka style zipper pouch to store sewing notions, accessories, or other small items.
The great thing is you can add your own personal touch to these pouches by embellishing them any way you like.
There is a variety of techniques used to decorate the pouch, including machine quilting, applique, and embellishing with favorite trims and buttons. But don’t worry the awesome designer has included full instructions and lots of photos to help you every step of the way.
The pattern does require a fair amount of hand stitching but that gives you a great excuse to complete some on car trips, armchair sewing or wherever you like.
The designer recommends that her project for intermediate stitchers and above. Experience with zippers and quilting techniques is helpful but not essential.
When you have finished making the Quilted Notions Pouches they will each measure approximately:
- Medium pouch using a 8″ (20cm) zipper = 4-1/2” high by 5-1/2” wide (11.4 cm by 14 cm)
- Small pouch using a 6″ (15cm) zipper = 3-1/2” high by 4-1/4” wide (8.9 cm by 10.8 cm).
