The Podium Purse is a super trendy cross body or shoulder bag with an adjustable strap. It features the designer’s unique exterior quick access phone pocket which is also great for keys if you don’t have a phone.
Inside the roomy under flap main compartment which closes with a magnetic snap, you will find a zipper pocket, two slip pockets, and a pen pocket.
The large flap is great to feature your favorite fabric or embroidery and add a cute little tassel to complete the picture! Super fun easy weekend project!
The designer, ChrisW Designs, rates their pattern as suitable for an intermediate sewer. When you have finished making your own Podium Purse it will measure approximately 11 ½” (29 cm) wide by 8″ (20 cm) high by 6″ (15 cm) deep.
The pattern includes instructions for both the strap connectors and a rectangular ring alternative method of attaching your strap.
The pattern for The Podium has twenty-seven pages of instructions which include eighty-two step-by-step color photos. There are printing instructions and test squares to check the scale. For rectangular pattern pieces, both Pattern pieces and cutting measurements are included so you can choose your favorite cutting method!
