This is a fantastic pretty and practical tote bag where the tutorial is free! You can’t get much better than that.
This bag is big enough to hold your purse or wallet and other essentials, like your umbrella, tablet, make-up bag and all without overflowing.
You just have to now pick out the perfect fabric colors and get making!
The designer says that with her example bag the leather-look strap and base are made from kraft•tex™ paper, a washable material that cuts and sews like fabric.
What’s needed to make a Modernista Tote Bag:-
- ⅜ yard of print fabric,
- ⅜ yard of coordinating solid fabric,
- ½ yard of coordinating small print fabric,
- Two 17½″ by 15″ rectangles of quilt batting,
- One 17½″ by 10″ rectangle of medium-weight, non-woven, iron-on stabilizer,
- kraft•tex™ paper fabric,
- One 1” fashion buckle,
- A set of snap on buttons (optional),
- A plier kit (optional if adding a snap on button),
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
