Messenger Bag sewing pattern
|The skilled designer of this Messenger Bag pattern has made a cool, large, slouchy style bag, turning the otherwise formal messenger bag into something more casual. It comes with generously sized pockets and is best-carried cross-body. It is completely lined and has absolutely no raw seams.
While working on this project you will learn to make a pleated pocket, fit a side gusset to the bag and make a long adjustable handle. The designer says you can make it over a weekend. She estimates that you will probably need around six hours to make your first one from start to finish.
Skill level:
This project is not meant for someone totally new to bag-making. If, however, you have made a few easy bags before, then with the detailed step-by-step photo instructions provided by the designer, she says it can be easily achieved.
