The Manhattan bag sewing pattern
The Manhattan Bag pdf pattern allows an intermediate sewer to make the amazing shoulder bag in two different sizes – the Miss and the Mamma, together with additional instructions for a”Removable Case” which is perfect for your glasses or sunglasses. The Manhattan Bag is a very unique project because the front flap actually zips open along its edge, allowing you to store easily accessible items there.
The Miss Size has a front exterior pocket, an interior slip pocket, a shoulder strap/optional adjustable crossbody strap and a front flap that zips open to turn into a pocket of its own. While the Mamma Size has all that the Miss Size has plus a rear exterior zipper pocket together with velcro attachments to attach items, such as the Removable Case and Manhattan Zippered Case.
The Miss size is 9″ wide by 7 1/2″ high by 2″ deep while the Mamma size is 11 1/2″ wide by 10 1/2″ high by 3 1/2″ deep.
