[UPDATE – SADLY THIS BLOG IS NOW CLOSED AND GONE FOR GOOD AND WE COULDN’T FIND THIS EXACT TUTORIAL ANYWHERE ELSE. Sorry, we hate it when that happens but what happens on other site is outside of our control. Please look in our other free bag sewing patterns for something you like instead.]
If you would like to organise all your rags in the kitchen in a bag then here we have a FREE pattern and tutorial for a Kitchen Rag Bag.
It’s designed to keep all your dish rags, bibs, cloth napkins and tea towels in a bag to hold them until you’re ready to put them in the wash. The bag hangs from your oven door with snaps. A waterproof lining and zipper keep soiled items from spreading while helping things look tidy and reducing smells.
What you will need to make the Kitchen Rag Bag:-
- 1/2 yard of outer fabric (some type of woven),
- 1/2 yard of lining (PUL, oilcloth, or laminated fabric),
- One 12 inch zipper,
- Two complete snap sets,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
