Fold Over Clutch Bag pattern in 2 sizes
This is a classic fold-over clutch bag that comes in two sizes. It can be folded or rolled at the top. The pattern works beautifully in cottons, as well as heavier fabrics such as line, canvas, cork, vinyl and leather.
This clutch purse pattern is super easy to sew. The clutch pattern includes two sizes of the same purse, you just have to choose the perfect size for you. That’s the large size you see in the photo below for the ladies who like a big bag.
And then you have to choose how you want to carry it, either folded over or roll it down. The clutch is fully lined and a main magnetic snap keeps items inside.
If you choose to sew the small clutch bag then it has been designed with two inside pockets, while the larger clutch bag has four inside pockets. Or why not sew one of each as the pattern includes the two sizes. Whatever you decide to do this simple design never goes out of style.
This purse is very easy to sew, even for a beginner sewer. The designer says that you can sew it in an hour or two. And you can dress it up or down depending on the materials you use. Fabric or vegan leather both work great. No special sewing machine needle, foot attachment, or thread is needed if sewing with vegan leather due to the bag design. This pattern also works well with real suede and leather but you will need a leather needle and Teflon foot.
