Elizabetha Crossbody Purse FREE sewing pattern (with video)
This is a versatile zipper purse sewing pattern, with an outside zipper pocket, that is worn as a crossbody bag. It’s a FREE sewing pattern that includes a full sewing video tutorial. There are optional applique details you can add too if you like the ocean-themed too – or design your own.
This cute bag can be made in many combinations of cork, vinyl, or fabric and with optional applique artwork or perhaps a fun and sparkly glitter vinyl or other non-fraying fabrics of your choice.
It features a zipper pocket in the back and another in the inside lining. The bag is fully lined.
Elizabetha was a river pirate in England and was accused of stealing from ships travelling on the river Thames. She was hanged for piracy.
If you like, you can watch the video tutorial below to see more about the bag and follow along with how it is made. The video does not give cutting instructions or instructions on how to interface the fabrics. That will all be found in the full pattern download.
You can download and print this pattern with two variations. One version with no photos for cheaper and quicker printing (suitable for more experienced sewers or those following the video), and the other with photos that you can look at on your Ipad or computer as you sew the bag. The pattern comes in a separate PDF. The pattern pieces are color-coded according to the fabrics you use.
