We like to find and share with you all the best free stuff here at Sew Modern Bags and today we have one of the best pattern designers that is out there giving you a free YouTube video tutorial.
Diane from Spencer Ogg Patterns shows you in a 31-minute long YouTube video how to make a simple two-piece beginner-friendly bag and how to apply rivets and hardware to bling up any simple creation.
This quick and easy bag is made with just two pieces of fabric and yet it is fully lined and has an inside facing. At the end of the video, Diane shows you how to change the size of the bag to make it into any style you wish.
We think the real bonus of this video is that Diane shows you how to use a rivet hand press to attach the crossbody strap and tote handles with advice on the types and sizes of rivets suitable for bag making. Diane is a great teacher and she makes things look really easy, however, this really is simple.
Check it out in the video below and start designing your own fancy bag!
