We love the use of the sew in stabilizer in this project. If you look closely at the design of the fabric, you can see how the fabric has been secured beautifully to the stabilizer by following the lines of the design with machine stitching, a little like using your machine to embroider the design.
‘Thread sketching’ in this way adds extra dimension to the fabric design, helps individual motifs stand out, and can give a slightly quilted look too.
