The Twofer Tote Bag has the following features:

  • It has three exterior slip pockets,
  • One interior zipper pocket
  • A removable body strap
  • And as a bonus, included in this pattern, there are even instructions on how to make a tassel as well.

When you have finished making the Twofer Tote Bag it will measure approximately 14½” wide by 15″ tall by 3″ deep.

What you will need to make the Twofer Tote Bag

  • 1-yard of main fabric (½ yard if using 60” wide fabric)
  • ½ yard of liner fabric
  • ¾ yard 60” wide accent fabric (vinyl/cork/leather-includes straps)
  • ½ yard fusible fleece
  • 3 yards 20” woven interfacing (optional)
  • One 1” strap adjuster
  • One 1” rectangle ring strap keeper ½” wide (optional)
  • Two 1” swivel clasps
  • Two 5/8” D rings
  • One 1” D ring (*optional)
  • One 18” #5 zipper (zipper tape and pull preferred but not required)
  • One 10” purse zipper
  • Twenty-one 8mm or 9 mm double cap rivets & setting tool (you should have a variety of sizes on hand due to different thicknesses of folded vinyl/cork/leather)
  • Leather hole punch or rotary punch (1/8”)
  • 1” webbing cut to 57” (optional- only if not using accent fabric for the strap)
  • Leather edge paint, or clear drying glue to finish raw edges (optional but highly recommended for the vinyl/cork to prevent fraying over time.)
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • A sewing machine.

The designer has put together one complete set of the hardware needed to make one Twofer Tote, (minus the rivets as the size of those will vary depending on the thickness of the vinyl/cork/leather that you choose). This set includes:

  • One 1” D rings
  • Two 1” swivel clasps
  • One 1” strap adjuster
  • Two ⅝” D rings
  • One ⅝” swivel clasp
  • One 1” strap keeper (½ wide rectangle ring).

These are the same exact high equality hardware that the designer uses in their own bag making and they stand behind its quality.
