Now’s your chance to make this set of Trinket Pouches with this easy sewing pattern. The Trinket Pouch is a small boxy zipper pouch in three sizes that is perfect for holding small items.
The designer rates her sewing project as suitable for beginner sewers. You will learn how to install a zipper, add a swivel clip, and box the corners of the zipper pouch to complete your project.
Sizing info:
When you have finished making each of the Trinket Pouches they will measure approximately:-
- Small = 3″ wide by 2″ tall by 2½” deep,
- Medium = 3½” wide by 2½” tall by 3″ deep,
- Large = 4″ wide by 3″ tall by 3½” deep.
Recommended fabrics:
The designer recommends that you use the following fabrics – Quilting cotton or home decor weight for the exterior fabric and quilting cotton for the lining fabric.
What’s needed to make one matching set of Trinket Pouches:-
- ¼ yard or 1 fat quarter of the main fabric,
- ¼ yard or 1 fat quarter of the lining fabric,
- ¼ yard of fusible woven interfacing (Pellon SF 101),
- 4″ zipper (S), 5″ zipper (M), 6″ zipper (L),
- Three swivel clasp hooks (optional),
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
The designer would like to point out that this is a measure and cut pattern that means all the pattern pieces are cut using a cutting mat, rotary cutter, and ruler. The sewing pattern includes ten pages of detailed step-by-step instructions with photos for each step.
