Tonia Mini Moto Bag sewing pattern
|This little bag is named the Tonia Mini Moto Bag sewing pattern. It’s by one of our favorite sewing pattern designers, Swoon Patterns, and it offers hands-free carrying for the ultimate convenience. It has an optional shoulder strap, a small zippered pocket, and an exterior slip pocket.
The Tonia purse is suitable for sewing with all types of fabrics and materials. Make it in a pretty quilting cotton, use a hardwearing canvas, or test your skills with cork or vinyl. This bag will look great in any of those options. Or mix and match with part cotton, part vinyl for a fun but classy feel to your new purse.

When you have finished making your very own Tonia Mini Moto Bag it will measure approximately 6″ wide by 6″ tall by 2″ deep.
On her difficulty level from one to four the designer rates this project as a one so it’s suitable for beginner sewers and those who are fairly new to bag making. You should already be somewhat familiar with sewing patterns and common sewing terms. For those with more experience, you can take this pattern and use it as a base to adapt it with options and upgrades of your choice.
What you will need to make a Tonia Mini Moto Bag:-
- 1/2 yard 44” wide quilting weight exterior fabric
- 1/3 yard 44” wide quilting weight lining fabric
- 1 1/2 yards fusible woven interfacing (Pellon Shapeflex SF101)
- 1/4 yards fusible fleece interfacing (Pellon Thermolam TP971)
- Two 3/4″ D-rings
- Two 3/4″ swivel clips
- One magnetic snap (or turn lock)
- 5” all-purpose zipper
- Fabric glue (Beacon Fabritac) (optional)
- Erasable marking pen
- Coordinating thread
- Basic sewing supplies
- A sewing machine.
