As the name suggests this is a Tote Bag with an amazing TEN pockets, which is obviously ideal for using as a Travel Bag.
So if you are someone who would like to be more organized then this project will be absolutely perfect for you. And who can say that about a bag?
In addition to the large roomy interior the TEN pockets are made up as follows:
- Three pockets make up a three-section utility pocket,
- One large interior zipper pocket,
- Four accessory pockets,
- Two inside divider pockets.
It’s easy to customize these pockets to fit whatever you want so that you can get to them fast. The two divider spaces behind the zipper pouch are great for larger items, and you can fit your iPad into the utility pocket on the outside of the bag.
You can change up the look of this bag by putting the three-section utility pocket on the inside instead of the outside.
And by adding a zipper to the top, which is optional, you’ll end up with a Tote Bag that is great for travel or for your everyday commute. The optional zipper keeps items safe!

When you have finished making yourself a Ten Pocket Travel Tote Bag it will measure approximately 12½” high by 18½” wide.
What’s needed to make a Ten Pocket Travel Tote Bag:
- Fabric for the outside,
- Lining fabric,
- One 14″ zipper and an optional 18″ separating zipper,
- 1¼” or 1½” wide cotton belting, otherwise known as cotton belting,
- Batting,
- Interfacing,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
