Sophia Tote Bag sewing pattern + video
Introducing the Sophia Tote pattern. It’s an easy to follow pattern with detailed instructions and lots of pictures. There’s even a video sewalong to help you get everything perfect.
Sophia has a gorgeously curved top (so comfortable to wear her tucked under your arm) and roomy interior with top zipper closure. Under the recessed zipper you will find a zipper pocket and a slip pocket. She’s fun and functional, how will you style yours?
This pattern works with both regular cotton fabrics and home decor, or looks stylish with vinyl too.

Advanced beginner. Measurements are in both inches and cm.

Finished bag size is 10″ (25 cm) by 11″ (28 cm) by 5″ (12.5 cm).

The pattern:
Please note that the pattern is supplied with some printed pattern pieces for the shaped pieces, and a cutting chart for the remaining pieces such as the straps, which are just rectangles. You can use the measurements in the cutting chart to make simple paper templates for these pieces if that’s what you prefer.
