If you take your laptop, tablet, or other electronics out of the house it is always a good idea to put it into a case to protect it. A homemade case is also less revealing of what the contents might be, therefore adding a little extra security from prying eyes.
Here we have an excellent FREE Video and Pattern showing you how to make a simple laptop case. It’s quick to sew and has an easy flap closure that is secured with a swivel hook. Make this cover in any size to perfectly match your own laptop or tablet.
This basic case is a great project for a beginner sewer and doesn’t just have to be used as a laptop case. You could also use this case as a folder for school or an organizer at work. Make it the right size to carry your papers, tablet, diary, and pen and you’ll have a mini-office on the go.
All of the instruction and tutorial for how to make these cases is in the video. You don’t need to download, print, and tape together any paper pattern pieces. There is one template piece for the closure tab which you can download from the button below if you want to use it. Otherwise, just follow along and enjoy!
