Retreat Bag sewing video with FREE sewing pattern
Have you ever downloaded the free pattern for the Retreat Bag from Emmaline Bags? I admit it’s been on my to-do list for a while, but I’ve never got round to it. Now here is our perfect reason to get that pattern out and sew. Here’s a video tutorial which shows you the bags in both small and large, and adds on some optional extras to the original pattern – external pockets and handles! If you want them of course, it’s still a great pattern in the original format.
We recommend your choice of these products to give body to your bag:–
- Interfacing – use Shapeflex 101 woven fusible interfacing for a lovely smooth finish,
- Fusible Fleece – Pellon Thermolam or 987F,
- Wonder Under – sheets or bolt of fusible web for glueing non-fusible foams etc to your fabric,
- Pellon Flex Foam – available in fusible and non-fusible,
- Headliner fabric – foam with a plush finish on one side, use with the Wonder Under in place of the Flex-Foam.
