Rainbow bike bag free pattern

Here’s a nice free pattern that is perfect for an experienced beginner sewer. This handy padded bag with interesting front clasp has been designed as a removable bike bag for cyclers, and has two straps on the reverse to make it easy to secure it to your bike and then remove it when you arrive at your destination.

Kids will love having their own bag to carry their toys. Wouldn’t it be ideal for taking the dollies or teddy for a bike ride. This example is created with strips of brightly colored fabric for a rainbow look, but could easily be made with a single piece of the kids’ favorite cartoon fabric. Or use a dark solid like a grey or navy canvas to sew one for you or your guy.

Add a narrow crossbody strap which you can tuck inside while you are on your bike, then pull it out, sling the bag over your shoulder and you have a purse ready to use when you get to the shops.
