The Persephone Pick’a’Purse is a uniquely styled Purse /wallet sewing pattern that allows you to become the designer. There are multiple options to customize the interior of your purse to suit your needs.
A fully customizable wallet with every possible feature you’ll need to choose from. With a maximum of 8 card slots, and capacity to hold 14 cards in total. You also have the option to add an ID slot and up to two paper money slots.
The central pocket panel can have either two zippered pockets or the option to use a kiss frame and a single zippered pocket. This truly is a unique pattern.
Persephone is designed to be sewn using either tweed or quilting weight cotton for the exterior, although it’s also possible to use thinner faux leathers, cork leather, or real leather. Internal card slots are raw-edged and can be sewn using either faux leather, cork leather, or real leather, the internal pockets are sewn in quilting weight cotton. The options are endless, you are only limited by your own creativity.
This pattern has been designed to sew using domestic machines with layers kept to the bare minimum at all times.
The Persephone Pick’a’Purse is the eighth pattern in a series of user-friendly bag patterns, designed to teach essential skills to bag makers.
Each bag in the series will focus on one key feature, in this instance,
‘Installing a ‘Sew In’ Kiss Frame’. Don’t be fooled into thinking that this is all you will learn though. Included in this pattern you will find – sewing with tweed fabric, raw edge faux leatherwork, and topstitching.

When you have made your own Persephone Wallet it will measure approximately 7” wide by 4” high by 1” deep.
You will find two pattern files to be downloaded, one has no additional borders or decoration so those who wish to print a hard copy can do so without wasting ink. The pattern contains 38 full-color pages of instructions, photos, and diagrams to guide you through the process, with helpful hints and tips throughout.
