Morning Glory Pouch – FREE sewing pattern

Here’s the Morning Glory Pouch which comes with a FREE tutorial and pattern.
The Morning Glory Pouch has the following features:-
- It’s a small pouch.
- It has a flap that has a magnetic snap closure.
- There are pleats on the bottom to give the pouch some depth.
- There is a reverse applique circle on the flap that allows you to feature a small piece of your favourite fabric.
- The pattern’s instructions include a small slip pocket inside.
If you would like to add card slots and an exterior zippered pocket, you can follow a tutorial provided by the designer that will turn the Morning Glory Pouch into an adorable wallet!
When finished the Morning Glory Pouch will measure 8.5″ wide by 5.5″ high by 2.25″ deep.
This pattern is suitable for a beginner sewer and will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to complete this project, but will take a little longer if it is your first.
What you will need to make the Morning Glory Pouch:-
- 1/2 yard of quilting weight cotton (there will be fabric leftover) for the exterior fabric,
- One Fat Quarter of quilting weight cotton for the lining,
- 1.25 yard of woven fusible interfacing,
- 1/2 yard of fusible fleece,
- One 18mm magnetic snap,
- One 1/2” D-ring,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- Sewing machine.
