The Lambda Weave Bag is the fifth pattern in a series of user-friendly bag patterns designed to teach essential skills to bag makers. In this instance, the designer focuses on ‘sewing with faux leather and Faux Leather Weaving’.
The Lambda is an incredibly stylish bucket bag style with sleek elegant lines. An oval base and a unique double zipper fastening that’s really secure as there are no big gaps at the top. Internally she has a zipper pocket and slip pocket with room to add more should you choose to do so.

The Lambda is classed as a confident beginner /intermediate level pattern.
Sizing info:
When you finish making your own it will measure approximately 11’’ wide by 9’’ height by 3 ¾’’ deep.
A comprehensive video tutorial is also included to help guide you through construction and offer additional ideas and advice for construction and decoration. There are seventeen individual videos, breaking the whole process into easily manageable bite-sized chunks.
The ‘Lambda Weave Bag’ is designed to be sewn in Faux leather or Cork Leather but there is also a fabric option with minimal faux leather for those who don’t feel confident to try an all faux leather bag with a weave design specifically for this option. The weave detailing can be completed with faux leather, cork or KraftTex.
The pattern:
consists of 54 pages of instructions, full-color photographs and diagrams to guide you through each stage of construction. With full-sized pattern pieces included for each part to print on your domestic home printer as well as a comprehensive cutting chart for those who prefer to cut from measurements. The pattern includes templates and instructions for 5 new and unique weave designs ranging from hard to easy, something for all skill levels.
