Happy Bag pattern
Happy! is a medium size bag suitable for all occasions. The name comes from the ‘smiling’ pocket on the front of the bag. The bag is perfect for shopping or a trip to the library. The outer pocket can store quick-reach items like keys or phone and easily retrieved without the need to open the bag.
Small darts give this bag its smooth curved shape and volume. It’s closed with an optional magnetic snap. This design will appeal to young active women who are always on the go.
Skill level:
The designer has advised that in order to make The Happy Bag you only need basic skills in sewing and to have completed a few simple bags.
Sizing info:
When you have finished making The Happy Bag it will measure approximately 14 1/2 inches (37cm) high by 13 1/2 (34 cm) wide.

When you add this happy bag pattern to your collection, you will be able to download 13 pages of complete step-by-step tutorials with extra information and 9 pages of pattern tiles that will need to be assembled. There are also 3 appendixes included:-

What you will need to make The Happy Bag
- ½ yard exterior cotton fabric (a vibrant colorful fabric is best)
- 1-yard of denim fabric (in dark colors, preferably. or other thick fabrics such as canvas, duck cotton or home-deco)
- ½ yard of fabric for lining (plain cotton – medium weight)
- ½ yard of medium weight fusible interfacing
- One magnetic snap ( 18 mm)
- One big button ( optional )
- Basic sewing supplies
- A sewing machine.
