Doesn’t this bag look just great? For those of you who love soft and comfortable Slouchy Bags then we’ve found you a great one here. This larger size bag is easy to sew, unstructured without a lot of materials needed, and doesn’t need any hardware. It’s ideal for a beginner to try.
Keep this bag rolled or folded in your car for when you buy more than you intended, or stop off at the grocery store or market and need a reusable bag.
Sizing info:
When you have finished making your very own Fancy Free Slouchy Bag it will measure approximately 20” (50.8 cm) by 18” (45.7 cm). The bag is 36” high (91.4 cm) when hanging by the strap.
What’s needed to make a Fancy Free Slouchy Bag:
- ⅔ of a yard (60 cm) of the blue exterior fabric,
- ½ a yard (36 cm) of the grape exterior fabric,
- ⅝ of a yard (57 cm) of lining fabric
- a small piece of fabric for your decorative yo yo (optional)
- 2 yards (1.83 m) of medium weight fusible interfacing,
- Optional – decorative button or other embellishments,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
