Essential Oils Cosmetic Case Travel Bag (with video) sewing pattern
If you would like to make a storage or traveling case for your essential oils bottles (or other small bottles for cosmetics, or pills/medication etc) then we have the perfect pattern for you.
This travel case allows you to carry your oils without fear of breaking the glass containers they come in. This case has sufficient room to hold up to eight 15ml bottles or sixteen roller ball bottles (two in each pocket). Each pocket slot has cushioning and the case has a layer of soft insulation and padding as well to ensure all your lovely oils remain safe.
The pattern has been written by this fabulous designer (Sew Hungry Hippie) for the confident beginner. If you want to leave out the pockets then you can and obviously, this will mean you can make a simple zipper case in a flash!
This pattern has been tested by Sewists of varying skill levels and once finished will measure approximately 8″ by 5″.
If you purchase the pattern then as part of the download you will get access to a video walk-through so that you can follow along with the designer as you both sew this case together. If you get stuck or unsure at any point in the written instructions, then the video is there to guide you.
You will also get a digitally drawn pattern with loads of full color photos for step by step construction. This includes pattern pieces AND measurements, so if you don’t have a printer you can just cut the pieces to size.

What you will need to make the Essential Oils Cosmetic Case Travel Bag:-
- Three fat quarters of coordinating fabrics,
- Fusible interfacing such as Craft Fuse 808 by Pellon,
- Fusible fleece or batting (use scraps from previous projects),
- One zipper at least 8″ in length,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
No matter what small bits and pieces you need to store or carry, this zipper case with pockets is going to make your life easier and prettier!
