It’s made to look stylish and trendy while being able to hold your prized possessions.
The Slouchy Tote Bag is great for you or your kids. It includes two strap lengths – a short handle or shoulder length.
It’s fully lined, and reversible and it comes with the option for a roomy squared bottom or just make it as a small compact tote.
This project is simple, quick, and easy to sew which makes it perfect for beginner sewists. The hardest part of this project is choosing which combination of fabrics you will need to make it!
You can make one of these bags for school, or vacation, or even make some for gifts.
What’s needed for the Easy Sew Slouchy Tote Bag:
- 1 yard of 60″ wide fabric – medium to heavy weight fabrics including drapery fabrics, velvet, linens, faux leather, suede, corduroy, etc,
- Or 1.5 yards of 44″ wide fabric,
- 0.5 yards of interfacing (optional),
- Rotary cutter and mat (optional),
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
If you choose to use a different fabric for the lining the designer says that polyester blends, cotton, and cotton blends work well.
