Duffel Bag sewing pattern (3 sizes + video)

This awesome Duffel Bag comes in three different sizes. Ideal for children, teens and adult sizes, or just when you have differing amounts you need to carry.

The small one would work as an everyday purse, the mid-size is good for the gym or an overnight bag, and the large is for a weekend away or when you have a lot to carry.

Skill level:

Duffel Bag sewing pattern (3 sizes + video)

Size of the Bags:

  • Large = 18.5″ (47 cm) long by 8.2″ (21 cm) wide by 9″ (23 cm) high.
  • Medium = 14.5″ (37 cm) long by 6.3″ (16 cm) wide by 6.7″ (17 cm) high.
  • Small =11.5″ (29 cm) long by 5.2″ (13 cm) wide by 6″ (14 cm) high.

Materials needed:

  • Size Large:
  • Two zippers 6.7″ (17 cm) and 17.3″ (44 cm),
  • 1 yard of linen,
  • Interface,
  • Cotton or canvas fabric,
  • 3 meter strap,
  • Two strap ring,
  • Swivel clasps,
  • One strap adjustment.
  • Size Medium:
  • Two zippers 5.5″ (14 cm) and 13.7″ (35 cm),
  • ½ yard of linen,
  • Interface,
  • Cotton or canvas fabric,
  • 3 meter strap,
  • Two strap ring,
  • Swivel clasps,
  • One strap adjustment.
  • Size Small:
  • Two zippers 5″ (12 cm) and 11″ (28 cm),
  • ½ yard of linen,
  • Interface,
  • Cotton or canvas fabric,
  • 3 meter strap,
  • Two strap ring,
  • Swivel clasps,
  • One strap adjustment.
