The Bon Voyage Duffel Bag is 18″ wide by 9″ high and makes a great weekender bag for anyone wanting style coupled with lots of carrying room. The owner took her Bon Voyage Duffel Bag away for a weekend and was able to get five full outfits in it.
To give the bag bottom protection and some high-end detail the designer added purse feet. She also added a full-length zipper top closure which means it’s easy to get everything in and out of the bag. And by adding custom piped sides with coordinated fabrics she was able to get an added bonus pop of color.
What you will need to make the Bon Voyage Duffel Bag:-
- Three different fabric pieces measuring ½ yard, 1 yard and ½ yard.
- 2 yards of ½” wide piping.
- 1 yard of fusible fleece.
- 4 metal purse feet.
- One 18″ zipper.
- Basic sewing supplies.
- A sewing machine.
