The Boheme Satchel is a handbag with real style. It has unique rounded handles and best of all it has snap open sides to expand the body of the bag. It also features interior zippered pockets and slip pockets, as well as a detachable crossbody strap. Making the Boheme Satchel in a variety of contrasting fabrics allows your handbag to stand out from the crowd.
The Boheme Satchel measures 11″ high by 14″ wide by 5″ deep.
What you need to make the Boheme Satchel Handbag:-
- Quilting Cotton for the main and lining fabric
- Vinyl, Leather, Cork, or a non-directional Quilting Weight Cotton for the contrast fabric
- Fusible Pellon SF101 or a woven shaping interfacing
- Fusible Fleece -TP971F-Pellon Fleece Thermolam Plus
- Two-sided fusible Peltex 72F Ultra Firm
- One zipper
- Six D-rings, O-rings or Rectangle Rings
- Four Round Strap Connector Caps with a ¾” Inner Bell Dimension- Optional
- Two Swivel Hooks
- One Strap Slider
- Three thin Magnetic Snaps
- 8-12 Rivets or Chicago Screws- Optional
- O.D. Clear Vinyl Tubing (Available at hardware stores in plumbing section)
- Coordinating thread
- Removable Fabric Marker – we love the Frixion Pens
- Microtex (Sharp) Needle 80/12 –Recommended for topstitching through the thicker parts
- Fabric glue or a temporary bond fabric glue stick – we love Fabritac.
- Sewing machine and basic sewing supplies.
