Back and Forth Reversible Tote Bag FREE sewing pattern
|This is the Quilted Back and Forth Reversible Tote Bag FREE pdf sewing pattern from the designer Joanie Holton and Melanie Greseth of Tailormade by Design and shared through the American Patchwork & Quilting website.
This project is really fun to make! Two bags in one because this bag is reversible.
The designer says that the only trouble you’ll have with this reversible, tie-closure bag is deciding which way to wear it. Uses of a printed stripes fabric in this example provide the look of pieced strips in a fraction of the time, but you can of course use any fabric. Fancy being fancy? Then create a striped design using smaller pieces of your favorite fabrics, sew them together to make a larger piece and then cut your bag from that pieced fabric for a patchwork look.
This bag is quilted, so follow the design on your fabric to emphasise the design, quilt in lines or freeform quilt – whatever takes your fancy will work to create a wonderfully strong and soft tote bag.
