Artemis Shoulder Bag sewing pattern (2 sizes + video)
|The Artemis Shoulder Bag is a semi-slouchy bag with lots of pocket options and a center panel to showcase a quilt block, fabric panel, embroidery, or a beautiful print. The pattern also looks great in one fabric!
Pocket lovers will enjoy the two gusset pockets, the front slip pocket, and the back zipper pocket. All of these pockets can be omitted for the minimalist. On the inside, there is a slip pocket and a zipper pocket.
The purse closes with a recessed zipper. The Artemis Shoulder Bag is available in two sizes, and can also be sewn to match with the coordinating Artemis Clutch.
The two patterns measure approximately:-
- Small = 13″ (33 cm) wide by 10″ (25.5 cm) high by 5″ (12.7 cm) deep with a 13″ (35.5 cm) purse drop.
- Large = 15″ (38 cm) wide by 12″ (30.5 cm) high by 6″ (15 cm) deep with a 13″(35.5 cm) purse drop.

What is needed to make an Artemis Shoulder Bag:–
- Exterior fabric,
- Accent fabric,
- Lining fabric,
- Woven fusible interfacing,
- Foam, peltex, or Decovil for the base,
- One to three zippers,
- Two D rings and swivel hooks,
- Optional magnetic snap,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.

This pattern includes thirty-one pages of instructions, with detailed diagrams and linked videos. There are fifteen pages of the Small printable pattern and nineteen pages for the Large, but not all pages need to be printed. A cut chart and pattern pieces are included for rectangle pieces. Pattern instructions are given in both inches and centimeters. This can be printed on Letter or A4 paper.
