When you have made one of these bags it will measure approximately 12.5″ wide by 7″ tall by 3″ deep.
The directions for this bag are simple but can be expanded upon to suit your needs if you want to add extra pockets or features. What you need to make a Marsupial Hip Bag:-
- Two fat quarters / large scraps for the exterior,
- 1/4 of a yard of lining fabric. Waterproof canvas recommended for the lining fabric,
- 4″ by 36″ for the fabric adjustable strap / 1″ by 36″ if using cotton webbing,
- 1-yard of woven interfacing (WovenFuse recommended),
- One 12″ Handbag (#5) Zipper,
- One 7″ Handbag (#5) Zipper,
- Two 1″ Snap Hooks,
- One 1″ Slider Adjuster,
- Two 1″ Triangle Buckles,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
